This is my project to memorialize Executive Order 9066 (Feb 19, 1942) this year: it's important that we do not forget the lessons and responsibility of the past. I claim no copyright and no original content, just wanted to link words and text together.
Text is from "Farewell to Manzanar" (by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston and James Houston), copyright 1973.
Photographs are extracted from the National Archives and Records Administration at http://www.archive.gov/. Record Group 210 includes the records from the War Relocation Authority.
Photographs may also be viewed at UC's Bancroft Library Collection -- http://content.cdlib.org/view?docId=tf596nb4h0&doc.view=items&... .

This history should be taught in all public schools. Let us not forget the brave men of the all Japanese American US Army 442nd unit. Thank you for this clip.
