Maddie Hayes was a great character it's a shame that later on in the show they just made her into an undecided, confused, sad female. I don't think she would have rejected Addison, she had nothing to lose and lots of happines to gain by being with him. The writers just couldn't figure out how to keep it cool and inteligent after they slept together.
i've never seen a show as good or original as this.....no one has the balls to break the forth wall without calling it "reality tv".....damn this was a good show
They always had to have something stop them. In Cheers it was Diane, on Moonlighting it was Maddie. I guess people use the fact that women think about things more to delay what everyone wanted and it ended up making everyone hate the female characters.
The writers turned Maddie from a great character to a bitchy, hateful moron who talks everything to death. Blame the show's creator, Glenn Gordon Caron.
*roflmao*

Maddie (Cybil) Is a bitch.
In Moonlighting, shes always
thinking before she does.

I'd forgotten about all of this brilliant banter with the audience. This piece was well written.
