On Sunday, August 16, 2009, Professor Eusebio Juaristi, President of the Mexican Chemical Society, was interviewed by Dr. Jeffrey I. Seeman. The interview took place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. during the American Chemical Society national meeting. This interview had several purposes: to share some of Professor Juaristi's goals and visions related to his Presidency of the Mexican Chemical Society; to reveal some of Professor Juraristi's philosophies of science and of life; and to show the human side of Professor Juaristi. This interview is part of a larger series of interviews conducted by Seeman and sponsored by The American Chemical Society and The ACS Division of Organic Chemistry with additional support from ORGN and the University of Richmond. This kind of interview is an excellent idea. Congratulations to both Seeman and Juaristi. I hope we continue to see more interviews like this one.
