Man i knew the tegra was slow. I own a mytouch 4g with a snapdragon processor and one of the 1st games i played was Need for speed. And the game ran smooth like on a psp. 1 day I had to pay my tmobile bill and the guys in the store was already busy with some customers so I decided to check out some other phones to kill time. And one of the phones was the G2X. And need for speed loaded up already. I graphic compared and it kept skipping. disappointing,

-
well a S 2 plays 1080p while pinch zooming without any lag
-
Only reasonable explanation is that he uses early Adobe Flash Players on all phones other than HTC...

This is !$%&?# everybody can see SGS HD Flash performance, it's fluid, and this video test is "odd"???
HTC employee or brownnose :D

Hmm, tried this on my Mobile G2 (HTC Desire Z) same video using my wifi and it lags a lot, it's unwatchable. So i pretty much agree with this review even though my phone wasn't featured here.
Any idea how the Sensation does in such a test with the dual core qualcomm?

@Blinkerbuddy I don't have a Sensation review unit yet. Sorry.

@Blinkerbuddy Hey Blinkerbuddy, I have received a Sensation review unit and I can say 720p runs flawlessly on it.

No offense, but (actually I mean to be offensive) you have clearly handicapped the other devices. A real test of such would require (proven) wifi used on all 4, fresh reboot on all devices, and (most preferably) all devices running/using same firmware version. We are all aware of the optimizations/benefits with 2.3.x....#redo #fail

@jumaaneface1 Given the nature of smartphones, getting the "perfect test settings" is near impossible. The only real situation where one could claim that all exterior factors were taken out was Engadget's test of AMOLED vs SCLD on the HTC Desire.
I didn't handicap any of these phones. They were all running stock builds of their respective OS, were all on WiFi and were actually factory reset (even better than a fresh reboot). The only phone with 2.3 was the SE Xperia Arc.

I have my doubts about this video cause i have the arc, I'm using the incorporated browser and I don't have any problem watching HD flash videos. So my question would be how many apps are you purposely running in the backround to get such a crappy video playback ?

@Alcyonea None at all, in fact. I did a clean reboot tried did the same outlined method still was choppy, then I did a factory reset and still had the same results.
Maybe results would be better on another flash video player (non-youtube).
Perhaps you are running the firmware for an unlocked version that is running better? I left the Arc with the stock Rogers firmware.
