@daniellazarus I know I'm replying on a very old comment but I'm thinking of getting a JS100 myself, but in which ways has it surprised you alot? By the way, I've watched this cover pretty much and it still is awesome!

Well... No idea! :) For this recording I am using a "default factory preset" because it sounded well to me, it's named "CLEAN+DD+CH", using the channel B distorted solo sound (CTL pedal with light ON), Bank 1 preset 4. In theory, I would try a DS-1 with a kind of Marshall 4x12 to emulate the earlier sounds of Satriani. But in fact, I think that the most of the harmonics of this sound come from the guitar, that has impressed me a lot! This little JS-100 gives a very caracteristic sound.

Well,in what pc slot can I put a SPDIF cable or a RCA cable and what program do you use for recording your guitar work from your boss gt 8?
Ive got a RCA cable, the one side is with a connection like an earphone and the other side is with two connections like tulips,But I dont know If I can use it for this.
thx

I'm using an old Sound Blaster Live as sound card. It came with a "front panel" with some kind of entries, SPDIF beeing one of them. Also, I'm using a "simple to simple" RCA to RCA cable. You will need a cable like that to use de digital option. Your cable is a normal audio cable (jack to RCA) and won't work in digital. If you don't have a SPDIF entrie in your sound card you can always use the normal audio jacks or look to some kind of device.
I'm using Cubase SX to record and mix.
