Buffalo band John and Mary and the Valkyries performing "Can't Ignore the Train" at the Night Eagle Cafe in Binghamton NY, 5/18/07.

As with many early 10,000 Maniacs songs, the tune to this song was written by John Lombardo, one of the band's founders.

  • Ha,this one is amazing,Lami, thanks tons for it.John&Mary are still my fave duo.And Wishing Chair was the best 10kM album. Do you have more from this concert? Many thanks again.

  • Sorry Joske, these were the only two I recorded. I was just testing out my new camera. I had the camera balancing on a half-squashed coffee cup -- I didn't have any kind of tripod. I didn't really expect them to come out at all!

  • @anaur90802 its probably just dese videos, i can bareley hear natalie, lol

  • One of my favorite groups of all time. John and Mary!

  • strangely enough, mary's voice here isn't as annoying as natalie merchant's.

  • she sounds just like natalie.they remind me of each other

  • Lovely to hear you again, John. Fan from long ago. Mary... damn fine. I'm gonna be diggin' up some of your records. (I just told my age, huh???)

  • Sweet

  • give me more of them!!!!!They're so great and show inner joy in what they are doing I LOVE THEM

  • That's Mary Ramsey...

  • Cotton Alley - swooooon...

  • Melody Maker is run by a bunch of tired, middle aged old stoners. I was always a NME reader myself, although I have to admit it's gone off since the late '70s. The Voice would be Natalie's, obviously.
