The ad is set to a cover of Fleetwood Mac 'Don't Stop' sung by Nina Nesbitt. Nina is thrilled to have been asked to soundtrack the latest John Lewis advert and explains, "I have always loved Fleetwood Mac and am really glad that John Lewis liked my version of Don't Stop."
The new advert called "Things Matter" centres around your belongings, the things you have in your home that you perhaps don't appreciate everyday but wouldn't be without, as well as the sentimental items. The common thread through all of them is that everything matters. We want to capture the emotional side of insurance with the family connection to your home and its contents. We believe this fits in perfectly with the John Lewis Insurance brand and is what sits at the heart of all our products. The fundamental reason for any insurance is to make you feel you have the right protection for your home, your pets and even your car.
Using stop-frame animation, we follow the story of the entire contents of a family's house coming to life in ways that reflect their personality and character making their way out of the house, and assemble on the lawn for a family photo. It's a touching, poignant portrait of our family and all the items they own.
