(4-02-08) Congressman Dr Ron Paul questions FED Chairman, Bernanke at Joint Committe Q & A.

Guess what the political philosophy is that Ron Paul mentions in the first 30 seconds? Its facism.

Ron Paul: "Some day we will try the markets to regulate the interest rates!"

  • it saddens me that the only time America will start waking up to what Ron Paul is saying is when hes dead... and has an Oscar nominated movie....played by a big time hollywood actor.... it is so frustrating, cuz he speaks SO clearly!

  • Actually Ron Paul is very electable by the American people - BY the people. Unfortunately, our president is now bought and paid for by corporations.

Ron Paul had a large mass of people behind him in '08 until he was literally pushed out of the GOP national convention.

  • I absolutely refuse to believe Bernanke doesn't know that what he's doing is reducing the freedom of the people.

Secondly, there is absolutely no way he can justify his actions for lowering interest rates. The mandate of full employment is nonsense, and he knows it is.

Austrian School economists were right and there is a complete epistemological framework to explain why they are right. People owe it to themselves to look into it.

  • Who is the man behind Paul that can't stop moving around.

  • @DubstepC2008 I thought he just had the "oh here we go again" look, but yeah I guess you're right he does :D

  • Jefferson would vote Ron Paul. Please America, dont be stupid vote for him 2012.

  • @Conza88

Facism can be an example of how corporations work but I thought it referred to a centralized government.

And your 'economic model': business + government can also be defined as socialism. And the very term 'national socialism' refers to nationalization of the entire economy.

  • Bernake looks high as fuck.

  • Fighting over labels that have been rendered useless is useless in itself. None of the current labels have maintained definitions. Early 20th century Conservatives were "liberals" and Socialism as a term has lost all meaning and it always had splits. So yes, National Socialism has all the same problems just with the state taking the place of corporations. However, some of us want all powers state and corporations to go and any power legitimize itself through community participation.
