Superb! Uplifting music for the soul.

I find that the problem with much of todays music is that it is simply soul-less.

Although Dusty Springfield never claimed to be a 'soul singer' when  she sings she tugs at your soul and that I think is what good music should do.

many have mentioned drummer Bobby Graham, Britain's most recognised session drummer. He also backed visiting American artists. Gene Pitney was apparently a bit concerned his own drummer wasn't on tour but was more than relieved when he heard Bobby on the sticks. He drummed on the "Them" hits, Van Morrison's band. He died 2 years ago but check out his site "bobbygraham.co.uk"

It is fabulous. Super-duper show.

My mum is in it at the moment.

The most brilliant show I think I've ever seen, and I've seen over 200 shows, so that says a lot.

If you can find a production on, go see it. It is like a drug for all Dusty fans.

This great song only got as high as #38 on the Billboard pop charts in 1964, and it's definitely one of my favorites by her. True, it does sound a bit Phil Spector influenced, and in the midst of the "British Invasion", that and the whole "girl group" genre might have been fading, but it's STILL one heck of a darn great song, sung by a great, soulful singer!

It was. It just made the top 40. It might have been the wrong time for the song, though. With She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand dominating the charts, a Phil Spector pastiche might have sounded passe. Great record, though.
