BF3 Rants - Recon

As highly requested, I did a rant on the Recon class. I'm tired of seeing my squadmates camping at the deployment or up on the mountains of Firestorm. You aren't doing jack for the team, and you're most likely over-estimating your sniper abilities when you're 800 meters away from anything and everything. I estimate that a grand majority of people can't hit anything consistently over 200 meters. I know I can't.

may I suggest the M40A5? Great, powerful gun with fast cocking of the bullet.

im a great sniper player, i work with m friend thay run around and i use my mav to spot, i only help my team, i always spot, i awlays trow down a medic pack :) loved the video :) :)

I'm more of a legit, yet aggressive sniper. I equip my M40A5 with a x8 Ballistic scope (x7 for Close Quarter Battles) with straight pull bolt and laser sight. The laser can be effective when running so you could just hip fire when an enemy runs by you. My kills with the M40A5 with that set up runs up to 3700 plus kills with about 100 kills every two to three days with good internet connection.

I use it with a "Agressive Recon "mindset with a holographic sight,stright pull bolt and a silencer

Thank you for this rant it completely changed the way I played battlefield I use the medic mostly but I started using the recon and I used all these tips and it paid of all my equipment I use for my squad I always spot and I use the motion censor where my team mates are and put the spawn becon near the objective I can't thank you enough and it's always nice to snipe a camper with the help from my team mates who are very helpful and greatful for a sniper who knows what there doing. ;-)

Yea, bad company you could lock a vehicle with your binoculars (somewhat like a javelin or soflam), and then you would be able to control a missile manually (similar to a TV missile or CoD predator missile). The vehicle you targeted would have a symbol around it, like a soflam lock, but it was free-fire so you could lock a vehicle and then hit another target entirely.

That's a good idea, but I've always thought that a secondary purpose of the marksman bonus is to tell you how far your kill was, so you can tell people/show off. I personally would just divide the marksman bonus by 10 percent, so people would know their kill distance, but they would have less incentive to stay far away.
