Talent Show Drum Battle (me on left)

The select choir at my school put on a talent show so I decided i was going to help out the arts. So i grabbed my buddy and we did alittle drum battle. And in reference to my set up, i was just bored and decided this would be fun to try to figure out what to do when my kits all messed up.

I'm sure the guy on the right, being the buddy of the guy on the left knew who was better but being a good sport played anyways. As long as they had fun who gives a rats ass who's better? Playing drums is about having fun. People are way too competitive about everything now-a-days.

I just feel bad for this. The guy on the left was like how about I invite my "buddy" who plays like a kid who just picked up drumsticks and doesn't understand the concept of tempo or drumming from a music standpoint, and then have a "drum battle" just to embarrass him.

from one drummer to another i could tell you were trying to keep away from the classic constant double bass, snares on the 2 and 4 beat. really some great talent and i dont have any advice for you, nice triple shuffle feels, and tempo changes, very impressive

Also, you can tell they both have different tastes in music from the way they play. It's like a battle of showmanship, they're'll always be a differentiation of the two types but neither is what I'd call better.

okay the guy on the right used his double pedal all the time!! guy on the left was WAAAY better by far! you could just tell that the guy on the right didn't know what to play so he just switched to double bass pedal. lol
