I hunt wild pheasants in South Dakota. Does that mean that nobody should shoot pen raised pheasants? Hell no! So what. you climb cliffs to hunt chukars in nevada. thats great. if you are fortunate enough to live in one of the few states where they have a wild population of chukars, good for you. But not everyone does. so People in other states are forced to hunt preserves. It gets fathers and sons and friends together in the outdoors, and lets dogs get on birds. Quit being so critical.

I don't understand something here and there is something i do understand in here , here's the MAIN thing i don't understand , this guy SAID there are NO WILD chukar where he lives , so why is everyone on his case about that ???? The thing i DO UNDERSTAND IS , yes he should of called it a SHOOT instead of a HUNT . , I feel shooting or hunting has 1 REAL thing in common with each other , It brings family and or friends together and the game that we shoot is the glue that binds that together

I live in Washoe County Nevada. I use 2 German Shorthairs on my chukar hunts. REAL chukar hunting is basically rock climbing and mountaineering with a gun. Sometimes you might get REALLY lucky and find birds down on the flats but 95% of the time, chukar live in the steepest and rockiest shit you can find. And a lot of the time, you will never even see ONE bird. Gotta come west to really experience how tough these ittle shits are. Chukar just don't live in the same place pheasants do.
