Hi, carrying a baby in a front carrier facing away from you can be highly distressing for the little one, as they don't have a chance to protect themselves from visual and other input overload by pushing their face against your chest. Never carry them that way, always carry them facing towards you. Cheers, Matt

Ergo works better and it NEVER hurts your back at all. Plus you can wear it up to 40 pounds and wear in front, back and a sling. I hike for hours with it and it's light easy to use and you can nurse while wearing it. I have a bad back and the ergo carrier never hurts. It's worth the 100 bucks. =)
