This is short video that I made to get the word out about the Highlands County Tea Party and the protests that they do. Also we need as many people as possible to meet up on June 14th 2009, flag day, and wave your sign and or flag at 4 different locations: The intersection of U.S.27 and F.L. 64, the intersection of U.S 27 and the Sebring Parkway, the intersection of U.S. 27 and Lakeview Dr. and the intersection of U.S. 27 and Interlake Blvd. I am not in any way a represenative of th Highlands County Tea Party, I am just a patriot who heard about the upcoming protest and decided to make a short video to get the word out aboutit. They need as many people as possible to attend, so if you enjoy your Freedom an Liberty than spread the word to everyone you know and come stand up for it!

Once again I have encountered my lifelong problem: NOBODY LISTENS TO ME. I NEVER weigh in on a subject until it has been analyzed, picked apart, and vomited up by every talking head in the world. THEN, when my point of view has not been considered, ONLY THEN do I speak up. I do not know it all. I may not be thinking correctly. ALL I WANT TO DO IS PRESENT ANOTHER SIDE OF AN ISSUE and have it CONSIDERED. But, alas, it isn't going to happen. I am truly a glutton for punishment.

All we can do is try and present the other side of things man, and try and get people to pay attention, if they dont than it may be too late to help them see the truth. But still, we have to try nonetheless

Thanks again for your reply. I hope I didn't come across too forcefully. I'm not a good organizer. We need to have a plan that we are as passionate about as do those who would take away our freedoms. I suggest that the first step be the effort to amend the Constitution to give us the explicitt right to reject candidates and hold elections until we get one most voters can agree upon. Step 2) convert all political offices from partisan to non-partisan. Step 3) De-politicize Civil Service.

Absolutely, we must have a plan because you can guarantee that the people stealing our rights and Liberty will have one.

All of those steps sound like a pretty good idea, especially the idea for having non-partison political offices,that could do alot to eliminate political agenda's. Whatever we do we have to figure out a way to make sure we dont let our new country become what this country has become. Making sure government isn't bribed by the rich would be good too.

You are correct: our current systems of voting are useless. What we have is the right to vote for the lesser of several evils. What we have is a state-run keystone cops- style elections, enabling fraud and confusion. Increasingly, election results are winding up in the courts. The major political parties endorse cookie-cutter politicians. Third party candidates only serve to elect the perceived worst choice. We may have the RIGHT to vote, but not the ABILITY to elect people of good report.

I just had a thought, we conservatives, libertarians and constitutionalists could do something with our nation that would look like secession but could make the case it's not. Lets do what the Nationalist Chinese did when the communists were taking over their home land. They fled to Taiwan and thats why Taiwan is recognized as The Republic of China. We could congregate and settle in the former C S A and make the case that a foreign ideology took over the rest of our home land.
