  • Love your videos, thanks for doing them. I have a couple questions. Does PSA use sub grades like Beckett to determine an "overall" grade? If so what do you find has the greatest impact on a grade? Corners, surface, centering Thanks Troy, looking forward to new videos!!!

  • @robe6:

    Hey man,

I know that PSA uses the sub-grades when grading, but they don't release that info (only knock I have against PSA). As far as which is more important...I know I've seen (and I own) PSA 9 that are OC...so centering is important but still allows you to get a PSA 9 (OC). ANY corners or edges problems lower the grade right away. I've had a card graded that I believed was a (10), but smal surface cracks made it a PSA 5.

Not sure...but all aspects seem to be big!

  • Did you build that case for your PSA cards or did you buy it?

  • @brett3xmvpfavre4 :

No, I didn't make it. I had a older retired gentlemen who lived across the street who had all the wood working tools imaginible. I asked him if he could make me one....and he did. It is Oak...and cost me WAY more that I thought it would have (Over $200). I spent my Bart Starr money on that case! =(

  • @Packerscorner Yeah, I have seen some on ebay for around $80 that look pretty good. Actually, funny that you mention Starr, my favorite piece in my collection involves him. I actually wanto to do his 57-70 set some day (PSA Graded).

  • @brett3xmvpfavre4:

I'd love to do that too. I sold a few Starr PSA cards I had lately...more to go after some other cards I wanted before going for a Starr collection. I do have a few auto'd cards of Starr...and a SWEET Auto'd Mini-helmet from Tri-Star I bought over 10+ years ago (nice piece).

The card cases you can find for around $80, but I always hated how they have to charge $30+ for S&H.

  • Good luck on with the new submissions Troy. Definitely don't blame you for letting the Rodgers /25 go. Couldn't have picked a better time to do it.

I'll try and remember to look for any doubles of cards you might like next time I get into my Packers stuff.

  • troy, thanks again for all the great PSA videos, theres some cards i really need to send off, waiting for the next sale on grading haha
