Burt Lancaster and Ossie Davis in the third scene of The Scalphunters. Director: Sidney Pollack. Argument- Joe Bass is forced to take escapee Joseph Lee in exchange for his fur-catch. Now the trapper goes to try and get his goods back. (MGM/UA 1968 production)

  • Lancaster and Davis had wonderful screen chemistry. On a different note, the score reminds me of that of 'The Magnificent Seven'

  • @percussin8or -indeed, Burt and Ossie carry this film all-the-way, even as Telly Savalas and Shelley Winters turn out their usual top work. And Elmer Bernstein did the music scores for both, the Seven and the Scalps...cheers

  • What an Actor Burt Lancaster, so versatile and talented and a great sense of humour . burt never gave a bad performance despite the films he was in. he is a legend in the history of film, great to have seen him.
