She's telling the truth! Im egyptian (hence the name masria, egyptian in arabic lol) and we totally do it this way, its old school lol. Seeing her apply it to her face and use the actual wax without strips brought back memories of my aunt looool. Great job!

Ms Toi, Thanks so much. I'll cook it again and let you know how it turns out.

@endiaaaa3000 You don't have to use it all at once. You can store what you have leftover in an airtight container and will last last for months.

Ms Toi,
Hello. Thank you, Your tutorial was perfect! I don't have a candy thermometer so I had to use the water/ball method to see if the sugar was done. Well I THOUGHT I was at the right stage but I guess I wasn't. The color was perfect but now that it's cooled I can't get it to form a flat patty. It just sticks on my fingers and never forms a ball. Is it possible I didn't cook it long enough? Can I put it back on the stove to cook? Thank you for any help you can provide.

@neener130 Hi Jeanine. You're exactly right. It's too sticky because it didn't cook long enough. I've actually never tried to cook my sugar paste more after removing it from the heat, so I can't tell you for sure how that would turn out. It's definitely worth a try. It will still work with strips if you want to use for that method. I have always just started the recipe over from scratch when it didn't turn out right. But it sounds like you were very close to getting it just right.

Thank you so much for these videos! I was just wondering one thing. Do you have to use the wax the same day you cooked it or can you keep it in a jar and use it another other time? :-D

@HipnHopify You can store your leftover sugar paste. It will pretty much last until you use it up. Thanks for watching my video and subscribing : )
