@Mr13killa A Professional has had the specific training, experience and knowledge to safely perm your hair without it being damaged. A Licensed Stylist will be able to recognize your type and condition of hair and be able to treat it correctly. They are supposed to anyway. Its the same reason you would call a professional licensed Plumber if you had had a leaky faucet, or needed a new sink installed, ect. Same reasons you would call a doctor if you needed medical help.

You are lucky you can do it yourself,,many people cannot,,which is good for me,,ive been a Salon Owner and Licensed Cosmetologist for well over 30 years.

@Brianeddie666 i have been perming my own hair for as long as i have been getting my hair permed and i have nice healhy growing hair, i cut my hair all the time and it grows great... and nothing bad has happened, you just have to be careful and dont perm ur hair so close to each other, it makes ur hair healther, every 6 weeks or so, and dont dye too much either,

your mouth needs to be washed out with soap. does your mother know you curse like that?

Dont ever perm your own hair,,,always go to a Professional.
