Solar power is a booming industry with huge international demand for new panels. Living Films was hired by Centrotherm, a leading constructor of high-tech new solar cell factories around the world. Their newest project was to build a fully robotic solar cell factory for a Thai consortium in the industrial park of Amata City, near Lem-Chabang port (Chonburi).

Ekarat Solar Co. Ltd. continued its diversification and extension plans
to produce polycrystalline silicon cells in a new production plant in Thailand, planned and built by M+W Zander

Ekarat Solar Co. Ltd., founded in 2004,
exported its first photovoltaic solar panels
with TUV-certification to Germany in 2005.
These products were manufactured in
Ekarats 12 MWp/a crystalline solar module
assembly factory that was constructed and
handed over by M+W Zander in 2004. With
Ekarats successful offering on the Thai
stock market, Ekarat continued its diversification
and expansion plans in the Renewable
Energy and Photovoltaic sectors by going upstream.
In 2005, Ekarat Solar Co., Ltd. commissioned
M+W Zander to prepare a conceptual
design report for a crystalline Silicon
solar cell fabrication factory with an initial
manufacturing capacity of 30 MWp/a and
a future expansion up to 60 MWp/a.
Following successful completion of this
phase, M+W Zander was commissioned
as the General Contractor for the Turnkey
Project for the 30 MWp/a phase.

Facts
Product: Polycrystalline silicon cells
Production capacity: 30 MWp/year
Production area: 1,000 m2
Total facility area: 5,000 m2

Ekarat Solar Co., Ltd. is continuing its vertical expansion plan in the renewable energy and photovoltaic sectors
a polycrystalline Silicon ingot sawing and casting manufacturing facility is currently being planned to fit on the overall site master plan.

  • Why don't they think of printing solar cell wafers on automobiles' roof, hook, and trunk covers directly when cars are being manufactured.

Parabolic mirror can concentrate sunlight to fiber optic cables and beam those focused sunlight to solar cells or even to separate hydrogen from water quickly and cleanly for resident fuel.
