Dr. Max Wolf and more recently Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, there is great interest in this form of therapy. The theory started with John Beard in Scotland with his observations on the placenta and the similarities to cancer cells. The premise is that the enzymes pancreatin, trypsin and chymotrypsin from animal sources contain enzymes with proteolytic activity; they have the ability to break down protein.
However, it is important to note that cancer cells are surrounded by a protein that protects it by disguising it from the immune system.

These enzymes break down that protein and digest the cancer or expose the cancer to the immune system for removal. These enzymes may have a similar effect on viruses and bacteria that cause sickness since bacteria are made up of protein and viruses are protected by them. The other areas of research include inflammation, heart disease and stroke. The protein, fibrin, that contributes to these conditions is the same one that causes blood clots. By removing the excess fibrin, inflammation is reduced and the risks of inappropriate blood clots are also reduced, which greatly limits the risk of heart disease or stroke.

By some estimates over $50,000,000 has been spent on the research of these animal-source enzyme products. The evidence in the form of studies, grants, patents, pharmaceu¬tical drugs, books and credible researchers is indisputable. There is merit to this approach and anyone who says other¬wise is ignoring the evidence.
