Reva & Kyle (#24) dinner 1986

Reva has hired someone to set up for her dinner with Kyle. Features opening from 1986. Reva lights the candles and puts on music. Kyle arrives and is confused about why they are celebrating. She tells him it will be a night they will never forget. He is happy that they are going to dine there. After Reva fixes him a drink he tells her they have problems because he has to leave that night for New York. He has to stand in for Billy on a deal. She wants him to take the first flight out in the morning but he has a breakfast meeting at 8am. He gives her a present he bought, a Diane Arbus picture which excites her because she loves her work. Reva tells him the gift softens the blow of his having to leave. He teases her about hiring a caterer and gives her a hard time about the fancy food since she wants to live more simply. She tells him she likes the finer things but not every day, she likes to spread it out. She teases him about how the evening was going to go and what he's going to be missing out on. Later at the table, neither is hungry and they go to sit by the fire. Reva is jealous of Kyle getting to go to New York. He tells her that there is also a Diane Arbus exhibit. She asks if she can go and he pulls a plane ticket for her out of his pocket.

If interested watch the scene entitled "I'll back you with my whole heart"...then the ones from 12/17-20 of 1985...they are powerful...Larkin Malloy was very talented imho...and the ones when Reva breaks up with Kyle on the bridge are heartwrenching...then the ones on 12-26-1985 when Kim keeps saying, "I feel like I 'm falling"...emmy worthy performances for certain...GL had it going on then...

In several interviews I've read online, even Kim Zimmer alluded to bringing Larkin Malloy back as Kyle Sampson. Kim said Kyle was her one true love on the show but of course Josh was her soulmate. I, for one, would have returned to the show if Kyle had appeared again for sure. I think Kyle Sampson would have been a great sparring partner for Alan Spaulding...can you imagine the banter between the two? If you have never watched the scenes when Kyle finally meets his father plz do so...wow..

@78sharesa Billy and Kyle have the same mother, Miss Sally Gleason. HB had an affair with Sally and Billy was conceived. HB's wife Miss martha decided to raise Billy as her own.
