if the triebflugel, or similar designs were successfull, the only thing that would have a shorter time between "about to take off" and "full speed tward target" would be somthing that teliports. Even modern fighters including the f-35 wouldn't compare though firpower and manuverability are far better on modern planes. once tweeked and perfected planes such as these will rule the air.

If the triebflugal's engines are on the tips of the propellor, how is the fuel supplied to them? Guess that's one reason why it never flew.
