You asked for it! And Blade HQ delivers. Here are 28 minutes of unrefined, practically unedited footage from our outing with Gavko and Sherman614 during Blade Show 2012.
We essentially took all of the good content and information from our shoot and put it together without any refining or polish. It's raw and rough. Enjoy!
While I've got your attention, I'm curious to know what you like or dislike about our field test videos. Take this impromptu survey! Write your answers in the comments. Why do you watch them? How could we improve them? Do you prefer the short version or the extended version? Why? What/who do you want to see in a field test? Thanks for the feedback. -Ben

Just so you know, the term for that wood that is rich in sap and resin, is fat-lighter, thought I would inform you guys.

Welcome to the channel. It's good to see you commenting. From what I can see, you sound like you've got some experience with knives and various wilderness techniques. Why don't you establish a running habit of adding to the discussion, rather than criticizing the people in the videos? YouTube comments can be a great place to learn, share and help people out. Just a thought.

No one said they were experts. In fact, they're not. However, I think people can be enthusiasts about a topic and still add value to the discussion on that topic. I'm doubtful you're an expert on weapons and electronics, but you still have insight that you're adding about the topics on YouTube.

Thanks for calling me out on that one, but here's the way I understand it: "gavkoo" is his username on YouTube. "Gavko" is the name he uses on his website and other materials. Anyone know why?

This wasn't our "survival style" this was a simple demonstration video, showing the capabilities of a couple of tools that were given to us, and told to use. Anything else in the video was for basic knowledge, and entertainment. All we had to work with was a small window of time, and limited resources. We weren't trying to survive like we were filming "Survivorman" We were trying to make an informative demo of the tools, and also make it entertaining.

It's not simple if you go out and don't have the right tools. Also, when in a survival situation, you need to conserve a much energy as possible, and do the job as efficiently as possible. So, different techniques yield results.
