PBR Battle 11: VS Uber n00b Matthew: Saved by Ice Shard. Match 1/2

I'm really trying to show some Leafeon action, but every pass I encounter, has always something Leafeon fears, so instead of Leafeon, Umbreon gets all the action... I'm trying my best, hopefully it'll happen some day... It happened before (tons of leafeon sweeps), but I had no capture card at that time to record with...

Anyways, this is one of the MANY uber noobs there are online. He does have some OUs as well (and a rented golbat), but they're obviously fillers, as he uses palkia and darkrai.

I choose Jolteon as lead, because I truly expected a Darkrai as a lead from him, and Jolteon is literally the best dark void counter there is. (Outspeeds even an EV trained darkrai [which are rare, since they are mostly used by uber noobs who don't even know what "Ev training" means] and sets up a Substitute that blocks the Dark Void, to then usually 1HKO with Thundebolt)

Darkrai wasn't the lead, Dialga was. Yeah, Jolteon can't do much against the Dialga, so I had to switch into my ultra-bulky Umbreon :)

As you saw, the aura sphere did nothing (despite being super-effective), and even those Roars of Time couldn't KO umbreon, so I just kept setting up curses to then perhaps 2HKO that Dialga (it resists Payback, and toxic doesn't affect it.)

He made some fatal mistakes, such as Ancient Power with Dialga, and Earthquake with Torterra (I bet he thought Earthquake is special, not physical, lol) which did less then a leftovers restore, lol

Then, after I took down his Torterra, he send the pokemon I hate the most: Darkrai. And OBVIOUSLY, it used Dark Void. (I say "obviously", because all uber n00bs do that, it's their cheap way of winning.)

The noob used special rend, then dark pulse (nooooob, learn pokemon's types!) Umbreon kept holding on, but unfortunately he didn't get lucky with sleep, and eventually went down. He did great in this battle, and all the other battles too.

I then sent Jolteon, and substituted expecting a Dark Void. I did get lucky with that Critical Hit thunderbolt, but Hidden Power [ICE] would've finished him either way.

If it wasn't for glaceon's Ice Shard, I would've lost, because he would've obviously used Dark Void again.

He refused to re-battle, but I encountered him online a minute later, and kicked his ass again. lol. Will upload later.

I wonder, would you have any respect for a Darkrai that DIDN'T put Pokémon to sleep, but rather had an entirely unique strategy to it? XD

It's always amusing to see the random, filler Pokémon that people put on their passes along with Ubers.

Anyway, nice to see Umbreon do so well. It's been one of my favorites since it was introduced in Gold/Silver.

And that umbreon isn't even EV trained in Defenses, but attack. If I put those 252 EVs from attack into def and sp. def., he could be unstoppable.

Actually not. There is one event Darkrai that knows Roar of Time and Spacial Rend.

just out of interest why do you have a life orb and substitute on jolteon. because personaly if i used substitute i would have a petaya berry

karen fron elite four did that to me the second time I battled her. My aggron's iron tail wouldn't hit so I had to reset
