Summer vacation season is in full swing. Many of us are packing our bags and hitting the road. If a trip out of town is part of your summer plans remember, less is more! Here are some suggestions to help strip down that suitcase. Pack one outfit for each day. A general rule of thumb is to bring one top or shirt for each day you will be gone, and one pair of pants for every two days. Women can substitute a skirt or add in a dress. Don't forget underwear for each day (or try disposable underwear that you wear once and throw away). Find disposable underwear online at Advadri or Underworks. If you will be away for more than a week, plan on doing laundry. Various shirts or blouses can be worn with just one or two pairs of pants or a couple of skirts. Bring items that can be interchanged. Bring a jacket or sweater that can be dressed up or down and will coordinate with all the clothing you are bringing. Look for travel clothing at Lands End, TravelSmith, Orvis, REI or J.Jill. Bring one pair of shoes. Bring travel size toiletries. Remember, less is more so lighten up and pack your suitcase right. Have a great trip!
