@tjholling89 It's amazing, despite our efforts to illustrate, that people still don't understand this. This is all a result of bad design, not "inept" people. We can try to train, educate, and change people all we like, but we'll never achieve safe systems until we design them to address humans first.
lack of tech knowledge and imagine these are used in hospitals and can put patients life in danger bcz they dnt know how to operate in regular and in emergency mode... hope they learn soon to operate and save life not kill man and machine!.
I have supported users for many years, not in Healthcare, but in education. Plain and simple there are a lot of people who can't figure out how to open a browser, It doesn't make the software bad. Scary how many inept people there are in healthcare.
Wow is all I can say...and through out the whole video all I kept saying was 'Hmmmppp"....with a small shocked giggle. this is definitely not good.
Thank God, I am presently in the HITECH Program in which I am learning all about the EHR, PHI, CDS, and all from CCC and websites such as: ONC, IOM, NIT, etc. and for those of you that don't understand its ok you shouldn't unless youre in school learning too...for those of you that know what Im talking bout, congrats to you :)
Great video... watching users struggle can be amusing, frustrating and also really sad in places. Surely we should do better where healthcare is concerned.
