  • @billieholley54 Can you put as spray paint without a gloss as primer to go over rust to keep it from growing? Or how to i stop it from growing? I dont have much time right now to play with the rust and remove it right now cause of High School and being hurt. but i cant spray over it i think? would that help till i can blast it?

  • @06DESMARAIS you can prime over the rust and it might slow it down but eventually the paint will bubble and fall off the only way to get rid of rust is to remove it, you cant stop it from gowing but you can nutralize it, or slow it down.

  • @billieholley54 So say I'ma prime it till the summer so rain dont get at it as bad. Will it bubble and fall of before the summer? And what can i do to make the pannels bare metal? I'm doing sandpaper but its taking too long. I might have a low grid, any idea of the real grid of sand paper to take of scaly rust or tough rust? If you look at my videos that i posted sooner you'll understand my rust prob. Thanks

  • @06DESMARAIS im gonna guess you live out in the west so i think you should be good with the primer as its dry out there, and if your trying to remove paint i found that paint stripper works good because your not breathing in that lead paint, but that shit burns if you get it on ya haha and if its rust i sudjest using a wire wheel on the grinder, do you know if they make repo panels for your car?

  • hi

  • @billieholley54 Yes I live West, Califorinia Desert Hot Springs, 92240 to be right on point. But my Classic is at my grandfathers in Yucca Valley, 92284 CA. Its not to far...anyways How many cans of primer would i need to cover my car? Where would i get paint stripper? Is the wire wheel like the wire brush(duhh i think. srry) And im sure they make reproductive pannels and parts for a 57' Ford Fairlane 500... Why?

  • Looking good.
