Here we see Steve Jobs & the almost bankrupt at the time Apple Computer making a temporary deal with Bill Gates & Microsoft. The crowd was not too happy about it.

Well said. He not only saved Apple's ass with that investment, but he was always more polite than Jobs, and he his charity is very world changing, and inspiring. On top of that, he got Warren Buffet involved in charitable events to an extreme.

He wasn't the one stepping over others to get there? Are you sure about that? I mean, Steve definitely did that, but Bill did it as well. Yes, nowadays Bill is this philanthropic guy that we know, but he sure had his share of stepping over people to get where he is. One of those people stepped over by Bill was Steve Jobs himself. They could be booing Bill for stealing from Apple years ago, so they think he can not be trusted, but let's just assume they are idiots, it makes perfect sense.

The audience member who covered his eyes when Bill Gates was introduced has since apologized for his -- and all audience members -- short-sightedness at "sorrybill" on blogspot

Bill Gates is one of the realest motherfuckers on the planet. Him and Jobs are both legends. Jobs might be the rockstar who died way to young, but Gates has just been consistent. Nerdy but always polite.

The cash investment was more a symbolic vote of confidence than anything else, considering Apple still had billions in the bank at the time. The important part was the commitment to develop Office for the platform.
