Wings of Desire and this film fundamentally changed the way I see life. Artistic mastery.

@jimbrim5 Bruno Ganz is already a human being.and Otto Sander still an angel. It is in a way a sequel but an own movie.

@Capocrim I agree. This film has haunted me for years, a constant reminder to wake up, tune into the beauty of life which can become so easily obscured.

A HA!!! This was "after-market"! This was no outtake but a revision. This actor has aged (filmed in 1987) although Natassja still captivates.
If you have an extra $40.00,, buy the 2 disc version. I love this movie and none of my friends...or anyone I know knows of it. I do my best.

so sad to live without an angel by my side :-(
que la vie est triste sans la présence d'un ange à mes cotés...

Topicdejan, your notation is very well expressedand very true. The humanity of living is very burdensome, if only people could see and understand what God is all about, what living is all about, what Love is all about, with out the corruption that man adds to theese things that we all want, but through the hardness of our hearts and the blindness of our eyes we just don't get it. Wings of Desire and Faraway so close just reminds me of the un seen and un herd of.
What the hell, is this actually from Wings of Desire? I don't remember this scene at all, It must have been been cut from the version i watched.
