@opticlguy I was there too. One of my first rock concerts, the bar was set very very very high for anything in the future.

I was there that night, as I live just outside of Washingon DC in Maryland, first time Id ever seen Springsteen live....he played for 3 1/2 hours, with a 30 minute intermission. I remember when I got home I was never so exhausted in my life, dont think we sat down once the entire nite. Clarence literally had to carry Bruce off the stage after the last encore he was so spent. Tickey cost us $19 and his performance was priceless. In 48 yrs I have never seen an artist give his fans more live.
