I haven't seen this movie. Is it true there's a torture scene? If there is, then I respect the 18 rating. Somebody on another "cider house" video mentioned the torture scene involved a ceiling fan and an ice cream scoop.

To the person who asked about a torture scene, no, there is no torture scene in this movie. I can't speak about the book, but the movie definitely has no such thing. The rating is for brief nudity (of Charlize Theron hubba hubba), language, and for adult content (one important theme in the movie deals with abortion).
