When I showed this video to my father he emailed me back saying he was brought to tears.
Everything said in this speech Reagan may as well have said about TODAY! I hear the same things said that we should APPEASE and make our Enemies LOVE US if we UNDERSTAAAAND THEM!

"Communism is slavery." Dude, I completely agree. You and I are on the same page. I don't want communism--I wan liberty. But in the US, there is a lot of pseudo-communism going around--farm subsidies, health care, military subsidies, housing subsidies, public ed.--and I am afraid these are slowly encroaching on our liberties. That's why I am for Ron Paul.

Bro, I did not say "communism was a reaction to capitalism." I said it was in large a reaction to western imperialism (which paraded itself as capitalism). I am not saying the USSR was justified in "converting" over, but you have to acknowledge that it did not happen in a vacuum--it was a reaction to the exploitation of the West. I am not saying we are all evil; just that the USSR was not all evil either.

Communism is slavery. Government exists for itself. If government was in charge of bread it would be stale and cost $10 a loaf. They would then tell us we need to raise taxes to improve bread.
