Referred to by some as "The Village of Mystery", the hilltop village of Rennes-le-Château is situated in the Languedoc region of southwest France, amongst the Corbières - the eastern foothills of the French Pyrenees. Whilst some (well actually, many) people believe there's a Mystery of some kind connected with this village, a few others are of the opinion that there is in fact no mystery at all, and that a hoax perpetrated by three resourceful Frenchmen in the 50's and 60's is being perpetuated today by fantasists and crank-investigators. In any case, this rather quaint little village is set in beautiful and quite wild landscape, and those that visit Rennes-le-Château are treated to some spectacular views. Shame about the numerous tacky, pretentious tourist-pleasing gimmicks scattered around the place nowadays. The music featured in the video is a piece called "Falling Leaves", composed by Damian Turnbull, and licensed from Shockwave Sound (www.shockwave-sound.com).

  • I am the Sleeping Beauty whom men have sought for all time. The paths which lead to my castle are beset with danger and illusions...

  • I love the tour magdala, it is like a bijou mini fort

  • One day I will get the chance to visit this beautiful place, and whilst I lean on the side of Henry Lincolns fantasy I will not come as a mouth agape hungry for the grail tourist, I will come as a student of architecture, religion, and life...this is a wonderful part of our history as humans and should be graced and blessed as such, not as you say as a tourist trap with gimmicks, there is too much that is fake in our society today, I enjoy reality and truth. Great presentation!

  • This is bloody beautiful, your such a man David, your such a man. Music sounds a bit like the lovemaking scene in the Terminater though.
