@jephybean ...And another point to consider; these people that claim small towns are boring and yearn for a big city, well they fail to mention the downside of that. High crime, nightmare traffic, rude, obnoxious people, pollution, pan-handlers, no parking, places you can't go after dark, drunks and drug-users in the parks and streets, people who are afraid to make eye-contact or smile and say hello and the list goes on. Well they can have all that...give me a small town any day!!

@superhornet69 SO TRUE. If you have an adventurous streak, you will find adventure, and not every place has to be alike. Stimulation comes in many forms and TRUE stimulation rarely comes from mini-malls on every other corner.

I think that people that say that a particular place is boring are actually just boring people themselves. One can always find things to do if you get out there and explore, enjoy life and are sociable and like to talk and meet people. People that always bitch and moan about how boring a place is are not that much fun to be around anyway.

For those comparing CA and WY- just stop. They're not even remotely similar. Pros and cons for both. If you're going to live in WY at all, and you're not retired, Laramie is the town to live in. Period.

@lotahuey Yeah I lived there.. I liked 4 wheeling, shooting and all that shit, but I can do that and 100X more in california. Apparently you haven't been many places in the united states because, Ill say it again.. there aint shit to do in Laramie except watch fucking cows fly by because its so god damned windy there. The wind NEVER stops.. Ide have to put my drain pan 3 feet from my oil pan when changing the oil in my truck just to get it in the pan! its a nice place to take a shit, thats it.

I hate all if these stupid videos and pictures that say that Laramie is some kind of wild cowboy town. The towns entire economy relies on a large modern university. I think that people who live in big cities like fantasizing that there are still places in the world that are like all of those western shows. The truth is that Laramie is a town of about 30,000 people, it is home to the university of Wyoming, are winters Last eight to ten months, and we don't. Have a mall.
