@BobSalmonSmackey Satan brings no joy only eternal suffering and separation from God. I pray that you'll see the truth and turn to God.

@mrbigtoe71 Satan brings temporary pleasure. Some people believe that pleasure in the present is worth any suffering to come later. I also pray for these people, but if they choose their own path, who am I to judge? Humans were given free will for a reason.

@ThePhantom1992 ~ Col 4:5 +
I love this song but at times struggled with the lyrics, not believing that God gives then takes away. I believe He allows the taking away now because sometimes that is what gets our attention. He is sovereign and who are we to say what He will or wont do.

@831WSSC The author probably didn't intend it this way but when I sing the song my thoughts are towards the sickness, poverty, etc. that He takes away. The lyric is drawn from the Job which revolves around a man trying to cope in a pre-Christ world. Things were very different then. Today Jesus takes our sickness, our lack, our shame, etc. He takes away only the negative and gives only the good. That's His nature and it will NEVER change!
