Hi Colleen - beautiful kitties! It's been ages since I watched a video so I thought I'd check your out and see what you're up to.
I hope you're well and I'm really sorry about your thyroid problems.
I see an Endocrinologist called Dr Conway - he's at Middlesex hospital. You can request to be referred to him - he is the best!
Talk soon
Em x

i feel like you are telling my story... I got hypothyroidism after being treated with RAI for hyperthyroidism and i take 100 synthroid mg. i have been on it for two years now but i am going to see if i can switch to armour (i think thats the name of the natural hormone replacement) cause synthroid isnt working out for me i still feel really tired my hair falls out i have brittle nails too but surprisingly nail harder helps a whole lot. I miss the feeling of feeling normal...

I also put off going to the doctors again because every time I go there I have some new symptom and I just feel like a nut case. I hope you find out something that you can share with us. I am glad you are doing videos again.
I've been on synthroid for years (probably 6 or so)... my numbers are all good now, but i'm still tired all the time. my doctor said she's never had a patient with a a thyroid issue who had normal energy levels. makes me sad, but i know haw you're feeling.

Glad to hear you have a good doctor. They make all the difference! The fatigue that goes along with it is horrible & hard for others to deal with as well. I think we all go through stages of denial & not wanting to deal with the issues. I went through it & just recently got a new doc who upped my meds. I do look forward to hearing about your endo visit if/when you do go as the endo I go to is pretty useless but the only one within a 500 mile radius. Good Luck!

wanted to wish you well. I have hashimoto's & have been on thyroid meds for over 15 years. when I was first diagnoised I felt just like you. It will get better. wtloss can happen once you are stablized. I lost 160 lbs & have kept it off. you do know to stay away from soy right? its a learning experience for sure. was wondering, do your drs believe that you aren't eating to cause the wt. gain? most drs in the US dont believe people when we say we aren't overeating. hope you feel better soon.
