Part II of the tutorial. Watch part I first so that you understand all the terminology.

This is the revised version that includes a section on crossup, if you saw the original version you should probably watch just the new section on crossup.

Songs are:

B. Fleischmann - It's all so
The Fat's Sabobah- The mountains must've moved while we slept
Apparat- Interrupt

  • nice vid.

Just to be technical : a reversal is NOT a move that is active on the first frame of wakeup : reversal doesn't make startup frames of moves disappear... It's a move that is executed so it starts on the first possible frame of your neutral state (post wakeup / reset / hitstun / blockstun)

Just to avoird loosing players that are not very at ease with the technical vocabulary

  • @eMRaistlin Ah thanks, I think I meant to write "starts up on the first possible frame" and not "active" but just brain farted basically.

  • u didn't mention the crouching throw option select. otherwise, gj.

  • Yeah I was planning on making a separate video for that but never got around to it :/

  • I keep asking people what they want me to cover in part three but no one ever tells me. Is there anything specific you need help with that you want me to include? I'm more busy lately but have been wanting to get started on part three for a while now, I'll try this weekend

  • The first version I did had a Voiceover instead of text; 95% of the people who saw it said "this would be better with text and not a voiceover. After having done and seen both I agree that text is better, especially with my voice and shifty mic.

  • Nice video! I've been an instinctual wake-up poker. No more for me. Now I understand why I've eaten so many combos for breakfast.

  • thanks :) this was my big weak point in sf4, i sucked at wakeup and stuff

  • Brilliant video, great job!

  • wake up dp out of knockdowns online.. herpaderp

  • "understand basic mechanics in order to not do stupid shit"

  • It's kinda funny and sad to see that most of the things I do are stupid and I get lucky not to be punished harder. Thanks a lot mingtongzhi, you got my hopes up to continue practicing : )

  • great video

    thanks!

  • @asdsafasf3 hmm how would you block normal. i thought the only way to block is holding back?

  • oh my word... how street fighter has changed...

i have not played since SFII and just bought this game..

lets just say... it is much more then what it used to be...
