Since you have to beat crocomire to GET the grappling beam, I guess they didn't expect a glitch like this :)

Of course, I used the reset game glitch to do this. I already had the grappling beam and then I went to fight him again.... This is definitely one of the cooler looking glitches in Super Metroid. (at least in my opinion)

  • lolWUT

    Lemme try.

  • @Samail666 Sure. First look for a video guide that teaches how to do the reset glitch (search: Super Metroid Reset Glitch on YouTube). Follow the instructions in the video after you have the grappling hook, and then go back to crocomire and tear him apart (literally)! If you have a save file near the end of the game it should take less than fifteen minutes to try =)

  • Huh? You don't have to beat crocomire to get the grappling beam, you can beat the whole game without fighting crocomire with ordinary glitches.(you don't need a game genie either) :/

  • @BidwellRunner Yes, you can beat the whole game without doing Crocomire or the grappling beam. But you still have to fight Crocomire to get the grappling beam, then perform the reset glitch (not a game genie code) to reset the game state, thus bring Crocomire and all other bosses back to life in order to see this glitch. And actually, beating the game without the grapple doesn't even require glitches, just techniques (shinespark or bomb jumping to get into Sunken Ship; wall jump in Maridia).

  • @meganinja456 You cant cheat on a real snes so I guess it's just a real wrong line of code :P

  • @keoni29 There is a Game Genie cheating device made for the real Super Nintendo, so actually you can cheat. Also, the Super Metroid reset glitch works on a real SNES.

  • It's obvious that Samus was only trying to free Crocomire's body from the tyranny of his limbs, the devices which end up sending him to his death by acid.

I therefore declare that the United States should recognize Crocomire's Body and Crocomire's Limbs as separate sovereign entities, and fight to free the former from the latter. For democracy and the good of all free peoples.

  • Holy fucking shit. Your slice his body and deformed his tongue.
