  • Are you in the North West? Can you use that entire clearing? Have you tried it at other locations in the clearing? Dual rotor axial flux alternator?

  • Yep Pacific North west on the Eastern Side of Wasington State. I have chaged the rotor to a larger(TSR=6) rotor.

Now works like a champ! Yep dual Statored Axial Flux Alternator that will switch in when very high winds are present.

  • Bill, So you changed the diameter of the blades, and you picked up torque and lost a few RPM? Did you raise the height of the tower too? Three phase? Can you share the particulars on the rotor diameter, steel thickness, # stator windings, wire size, number of turns, and type and # of magnets you used? Did you make your own blades? Hub type? Too many questions? Nice job!

    Thanks!
