Time for the chaos that is Battle Mode!

Battle #1 - GCN Cookie Land (Balloon Battle)
This is a prime example of being penalized for being the highest ranked player. Generally, you end up getting the weakest players as teammates, and you're expected to somehow take up the slack, yet they are total strangers that you can't even communicate with. In other words, this battle was more like 3 vs 1 with two extra targets. So I did my best just to not lose too many BR points, and I think I at least accomplished that.

Battle #2 - Block Plaza (Coin Runners)
With the weak players gone, it became 2 vs 1, which is always more fun. BR points aren't really at risk here, so you can just go all out and have a good time. My strategy was basically grab only the coins they were giving me for free and then do my best to knock the rest out of the opponents. Despite being at a severe disadvantage, I almost won this game but I was left with a single banana peel at the end and accidentally dropped it too early.

Battle #3 - SNES Battle Court 4 (Balloon Battle)
Now THIS old school course is a course an old school Mario Karter like me shines on! I went kamikaze in the beginning and got extremely lucky with my ramming powerslide, somehow hitting bryan while not getting hit myself with like green shell shields. I got lucky again later when the green shell I fired before being hit for the first time bounced back down the length of the field to hit bryan from behind. You can really see the comfort level I have with this course by the way I attack on my powerslides and the offensive and defensive tactics I use.

Battle 1: Sigh, I hate it when that happens, too. The only reason why I only play regional battles now is so lag won't screw up my mushroom/starman/mega mushroom. Though, you didn't lose too much. If the other team member wouldn't have tied, I'm sure you would've gained something (not much, but…something)

Battle 2: Coin Runners + Uneven Team. I find that bad, you found it fun.

Battle 3: Nothing hard about that battle. In fact, the item freguencies the RNG gave you were quite helpful.

That's the one burden that we pretty much share except I lose more since I was 7770 at the least. Nice battling at the end though.

Not that you really need to worry about being taking advantage of by anyone under...6k or so ( unless they're actually good and are fooling around on secondary names.

Just be a little more cautious about that in particular. i know there are certain strategies that almost always seem to pull through, but if you want to get into the 7600-7800 range, you may have to not use items unless you have solid backups with you.

The best, most brutal players always do.

I think you're pretty good. Only advice I would give you to get even better is to telegraph your strategies less. One example that comes to mind and sticks out is in the first match where you stalled on the outside lane for about four seconds, waited for a dummy blue player to come, and layed the bomb behind you, getting you a point. Most players 7400+ will read that quickly and possibly take advantage of you if you don't have another item
