Edelweiss on the Violin

A beautiful song from the all-time classic "The Sound of Music". Contrary to common belief, the song has nothing Austrian or German about it. And, it IS DEFINITELY NOT the Austrian national anthem!!! The lyrics were provided by Oscar Hammerstein and the the song was composed by Richard Rodgers, both Americans. Sorry for the sound quality. It was raining outside!

Also playing the violin and viola myself, I think the sound quality could be further improved by using more length of bow and practising and trying to be more flexible with the direction changes between up and down bown. Flex the fingers as you change the direction. Definite potential though X

You played very nicely. Just a tip: Try and use a little more pressure with your bow and quicken the tempo. I played the violin and the viola, so I know that it's difficult to play. Good job, though! :)

Thanks for the tip. I played using more pressure on the bow and found that bow control is much better and so is the tone quality. Many thanks.
