This was a solid lift. Depth was right on and the weight moved well.

  • @strengthtrain91 o really? then I guess he should take off his shoes and clothes too.... a belt is considered raw in all federations when squatting.

  • How come you haven't posted any video of you training outside? Or is it so cold the bar would crack?

  • @rhsalaska wtf works outside.

  • Always good to see your videos Mike

  • @justbig

Most of those videos are really old. If you take a look you'll see that except one, all of the videos were uploaded at least a few months ago. My squat is much better now, but it doesn't really matter. The definition of a squat below parallel by Mark Rippetoe is when your hip joint is below the patella on the lowest point of your squat. Again, I'm not underestimating this guy's strength, he is clearly strong and his squat is exactly parallel which isn't that bad (some recommend it)

  • @Swabolic you have no idea what parallel is. I just watched your squat videos and until you fix your squat form don't offer someone who is clearly an excellent squatter technique advice.

  • Squat looks great. looked parallel to me.

  • Beautiful squat man, keep it up!

  • @benno390

Squat below parallel by definition is a squat in which your hip joint is below the patella on the lowest point of the movement. It doesn't seem to appear in this one, and a correct full squat is rarely done in powerlifting competitions. Don't get me wrong, I don't think this guy is weak or any other guy who doesn't squat below parallel (if the weight is considerably high), ther eare many strong men in powerlifting competitions. They're just not doing the full range of motion

  • @Swabolic are you blind his squat depth would be good for any powerlifting comp and his squats are parallel even a lttle past

  • i don't know who you are but i promise i will never fuck with you ever.

  • You're very strong and the technique is pretty smooth, except that you're not below parallel. Nice work anyway, I know it's completely hard to get to those levels of strength
