I am sure Russia does not look at the ongoing integration processes on the post Soviet space as any kind of "alternative" to its WTO bid. Russia shall continue the integration processes REGARDLESS of its potential WTO accession.
In fact I suspect that Russia does not really want to join WTO. Or maybe it does but only on its own conditions. Russia could have joined WTO many years ago but it refused to accept conditions put by the western countries. Russia is selling its oil, gas, arms without WTO
