Her latest album title, Brixton to Brooklyn, is both a catchy alliteration but also a succinct bio on Producer/Songwriter Kirsten Price. Originally from London, Price has since made Brooklyn her home and her music reflects the eclectic blending of those transatlantic influences.

We met up with Kirsten Price at a studio in Los Angeles to check out one of her recent projects.

  • you should make an interview with adam young... you'd make some cash.. if people see adam young using reason Because Electronic Pop is a pretty tough style of music to make... and he is really the master of that style.

  • @kepo33 We interviewed adam last year but not as a video interview. You can read the interview on our site, though. He's a great guy and very talented. Owl City is great stuff.

  • Please please please propellerhead, keep your guys' awesome videos coming! I really enjoyed listening to Kristen's songs they are very well produced and arranged. I was also wondering if any of those awesome video tutorials you guys did for reason/record 5/1.5 with the guy with the radio-ish voice are going to make a come back for reason 6? Those were off the wall good...

  • @zsaunds09 We just did two new ones for Alligator and Pulveriser. I'm working on one for The Echo device now. So yeah, Frank's radio voice is making a comeback! :) The new tutorials for Reason 6 are here:

  • Hearing a woman get so technical about synths is just... really hot, in the most respectful way possible.

  • @radix81 Why, because she's using Pro Tools in that clip? Kirsten often uses Reason rewired into Pro Tools. You can even see Pro Tools in some of our video we shot together. Her synths, drum machines, bass, beats, etc. are from Reason. That's a great way to use Reason. We developed Rewire for exactly that purpose and all major DAWs have incorporated Rewire to facilitate that level of integration. Music creation isn't a turf war. People use all sorts of tools and we think and that's great.

  • @PropellerheadSW Thanks a lot for the response!!! It was very classy and professionally explained and now you just gave me more reason to get Reason lol

  • @audioproducer88 That's a great question! The answer is that ReWiring is not necessary and she doesn't need Pro Tools. Prior to Reason 6, Reason users needed ReWire to connect to a DAW for audio recording. Now that's not the case anymore. Many users who worked in that way still prefer their workflow and continue ReWiring into their DAW. But you're certainly correct, it's not necessary anymore for audio recording and several artists I've spoken to have moved their audio work directly into Reason.

  • @PropellerheadSW Can you explain why rewiring is necessary? Like why does she need Pro Tools if you guys are trying to sell Reasons?

  • Hello you are ggreat. can you please explain to me how you got your vocals to sound so so great. What are you doing please . i want my vocal to sound like yours. i hope to here back from you.

  • @PriceProductions I like your stuff. Meshell is an incredible player. Now I know why that bass sounds so good.

  • Women and music! That's hot!

  • @sanofabeat The first song in the video is called "Broken" featuring "Meshell Ndegeocello on Bass from the second Kirsten Price studio album "Brixton To Brooklyn" released 2010 written and produced entirely by Kirsten Price

  • somebody please tell me whats the name of the first song on this video?????

  • @ZippoMan the bass riff that is

  • sound entirely too similar to Kings of Leon - Closer.... Still a very inspiring look into self made music production. I will be looking at reason very soon
