yes i remember bob-lo downton detroit where it was safe to go 24/7 but afew dupa's ruined that for everyone.

From the US side you got on the Columbia or Ste Claire for a 1:30 boat ride to Boblo Island yes the island had customs on it. From Canada you took a small boat to the island.
