Doctor who - Journey's End - alternate ending

PLEASE READ -- okay, i've been getting a lot of comments saying that this is too happy, has too much flowery "i love you" and that it's way out of the doctor's charactor and so on, because of this there are a few things i feel i need to point out: 1, when i started writing this it was somewhere around 2:00 am, and i had just watched Journey's End a few hours before, so you see, i was still compleetly heart-broken and wanted to make my version as happy as possible. 2, i realize i went a little over-board with the whole "i love you" thing, but i just really thought it needed to be said (OUT LOUD) once and for all, though i do regret that last "Rose is happy, and she knows i love her" i suppose if i were to change it, i would make it "Rose is happy...and she knows how i feel...about her" or something like that, but it would be too much of a hastle to change it now. 3, i am NOT a professional writer, especially with british sci-fi fanfics. i am still learning, and working on how to improve my writing style. i am perfectly open to pointers and suggetions, but i happen to be proud of my work, and tend to take it personally when people get a bit...mean

this is basically the same ending, and in fact it starts off exactly the same, but i changed things so that everyone ends up happier, and us 10/rose fanatics get some closure

@pumpedorange No, you're not sorry, because if you were, you wouldn't have said it. And you're probably not gay either, because no self respecting gay person would use the word as an insult, let alone use it to say something is stupid. Unless you're using it to mean stupid when referring to yourself, in which case, "to each his own".

I'm fully aware that my writing was completely at its worst here, but do yourself a favor a take some lessons in common decency.

Afraid i disagree with most of the comments here. I think this ending is quite naieve, the Doctor's world doesn't work like this. This ending would have left me feeling pretty flat and not wanting more. Bad stuff happens, people loose out, RTD's version was much better (although rushed) and feels more real than this. Sorry don't mean to be harsh, just my opinion.

why do you say it's sad? this ending was actually supposed to be a lot happier than the real ending. have you seen the real ending?

I agree with everything you've said and I have to admit, even though the ending to the Doctor and Rose story is still very much incomplete(RTD's version)....I prefer it that way....adds to the tragicness and loneliness of the Doctor's life....
