Dr. Jerod Gard of Dynamic Physical Therapy demonstrates a functional manual therapy technique to release the iliotibial band from nearby tissues. www.dynamicphystherapy.com
Ha, a plunger! Clever! I own a cupping tool and was using it to work on IT band restrictions on a friend the other day.. but a plunger would work just as well! And it's a bigger surface area, which is nice. I like how you get underneath the IT band to help separate it from the deeper tissues. I didn't get in there like that, but I will remember this technique next time.
why is the tail on that thing shaped like a dildo?
