The music temporarily added to this segment is by Django Reindhardt and his wife, called Blue Drag, 1935. In the final version of the movie, the music featured will either be by Oaklanders or those who have performed in Oaksterdam.
In Oakland, there is a community of über creative musicians and artists who never cease to blow my mind. I felt that someone needed to document this magical moment in time and space, so I am.
This is one of many TEASERS I am uploading to YouTube so that everyone can enjoy it while I do the long hours holed up at home editing the full feature documentary about Oakland music and art.
