  • October 2000? Caroline, you were lucky to get there when you did as Janice and Kathleen were fired that same month without notice (for testifying in Holly Hallstrom's lawsuit- the first (but not last) one Bob Barker ever lost, and the takeover of TPIR by Pearson). Don't get me wrong, I liked (and miss) Nikki too, and of course Rod, but that had to be one of Janice and Kathleen's very final episodes.

  • This was Janice and Kathleen's last show.

  • October 18th and December 13th were the two episodes during season 29 in 2000 where Punch was played third. The last taped episode with Janice and Kathleen aired on 12/13/2000, but a previously preempted episode with Janice and Kathleen(preempted in October for a CBS News special report) aired on 12/14/2000. Paul Alter's last show as director aired in February 2001.

  • @autumnwinter1324 Really? So, why didn't she take him to court like the others?

  • @jarvisbrodiea9 It is but it's what she said

  • @TPIRHost7207 Well, that's just stupid!

  • @AMEwrestling Yeah, I already heard about Alter's passing. That was so sad. But I believe Drew would have invited him back if he were still alive. And I was disappointed that DiPirro was booted too, but I do agree with you when I say the current director is doing fine. In a way, he's about as good as DiPirro was. You know what? I honestly would not be surprised if Holly Hallstrom, Janice Pennington, Chantel Dubay or Kathleen Bradley were all invited for a special guest appearance.

  • @jarvisbrodiea9 Unfortunately Paul Alter passed away in July of 2011, so no special appearance on the 40th anniversary special. But he was the only person to direct The Price Is Right in the eras of Bill Cullen (RIP) and Bob Barker. Would Drew Carey have invited him if he were alive? I'm not sure. I'm glad CBS got rid of Eskander and brought in DiPirro. DiPirro is gone, but the current director is all right.

  • @AMEwrestling Eskander's directing was so sloppy and pathetic

  • @zachhoran only because bob didn't like that she was getting to be as popular as janice and that's straight from her

  • ah early 2000's my childhood years!
