  • AADEAE? :D nice tuning.. do you know how thick the strings are?

  • I don't know personally ... but I'm sure Don is using mediums at least ... he might even be using a heavier gauge for the low 6 string to get it down to A without rattle.

  • @Abysmaltormentor He uses 13s. I'm 95% sure the E string is the standard .56. Getting a lack of rattle takes care, but probably just that. A lot of his guitars are long scale (26.25") so that makes it a little easier. I'm using a .59 string off a baritone set and that helps if you drop tunings a lot.

  • .013-.056 is sometimes called medium-heavy, heavy or medium, depends on the brand.
